Everything You Need to Know About the US Embassy Abu Dhabi Consular Appointment Cancellations

All consular appointments at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate General in Dubai have been postponed until July 15. The temporary service change was explained by broader regional security circumstances by the US Mission. During the cancellation time, appointment holders are not permitted to visit either diplomatic location.

Consular teams will directly provide rescheduling instructions to affected applicants. Emergency support is still available via specified phone and digital channels. Every consular appointment scheduled over the three days is covered by the notice from the US Mission. The Dubai consulate and the Abu Dhabi embassy both function under the same temporary setup.

Americans should not visit the embassy or consulate on certain dates if they have an appointment. The alert states, We will get in touch with you to reschedule. To request replacement dates, applicants are not required to go to any site. Affected users will be contacted by consular teams using the information associated with their applications.

There isn’t a walk-in option available for cancelled appointments. Candidates should keep their current confirmation documents and monitor their registered email addresses for updated scheduling details. The warning was released on July 13 via US Embassy channels. The mission’s social media pages shared the same directives, resulting in a single operational role for both UAE locations.
