KAUST Takes a Big Step in AI Education with New Winter Training

JEDDAH: From January 24 to 29, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology will conduct the second MenaML Winter School, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The Saudi Press Agency said that it brings together renowned researchers, scientists, and artificial intelligence specialists from the Middle East and North Africa. The program’s goal is to improve scientific research and develop specialized technical skills through an intense curriculum that covers both theoretical and applied AI.

The sessions include the most recent advances in intelligent model engineering, artificial intelligence for scientific applications, and high-efficiency computing technologies. Participants include representatives from 16 international scientific and technology institutions, as well as 300 researchers chosen from 2,300 applicants based on merit and research potential.

The event serves as a forum for research collaboration, academic alliances, and networking with international scientific institutes. The SPA stated that it encourages innovation and solutions in a variety of sectors, including energy, health, infrastructure, and advanced technology.

The initiative enhances regional human capital by providing advanced training, exchanging knowledge with leading specialists, and cultivating an ecosystem that promotes research and innovation.
