LONDON: Jordan’s army leader met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Thursday at Beirut’s Presidential Palace to discuss security cooperation. Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Jordan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, discussed regional changes and security issues, as well as methods to contribute to regional stability.
He also met Gen. Rodolphe Haykal, the commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces. According to the Petra news agency, they discussed military cooperation and the exchange of experience and training in order to boost preparedness and efficiency.
Huneiti emphasized the close ties between Jordanian and Lebanese military establishments. According to Petra, Haykal praised the Jordan Armed Forces for their efforts to maintain regional security and stability. Maj. Gen.
