They examined the current relationships between the GCC and the EU, looking into potential ways to further enhance those relationships in order to serve both parties’ interests.
Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, met with Christophe Farnaud, the European Union Ambassador to the Kingdom, on Monday in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed the current relations between the GCC and the EU, and they investigated potential ways to further strengthen those contacts in order to serve the interests of both parties, according to a statement released by the General Secretariat.
In addition, the most recent developments concerning the Joint Action Programme for the period of 2022–2027 were the subject of discussion. A number of officials are expected to meet with Al-Budaiwi during his visit to the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, which is slated to take place the following week.
