KUWAIT’s: After smoke was spotted rising from the diplomatic mission earlier on Monday, three diplomatic sources informed AFP that the United States Embassy in Kuwait may have been targeted by drones.
It was reported by a Western diplomat and a Kuwaiti official, both of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity, that the embassy had been damaged by a number of drones. Additionally, a second Kuwaiti diplomat stated that the diplomatic building had been directly struck in the attack.
As a correspondent from AFP observed smoke rising from the diplomatic mission on the third day of Iran’s retaliatory attacks in the Gulf, the United States Embassy issued a warning to the public, stating that they should not come to the facility because there is “a continuing threat of missile and UAV (drone) attacks over Kuwait.
