DUBAI: According to Israeli media on Friday, Israel demolished Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s Tehran bunker, which is still utilized by high-ranking Iranian officials following his murder. After obtaining surveillance and intelligence data, Israel’s military said that 50 planes used more than 100 munitions to strike the covert underground complex, which is located over many blocks in the center of Tehran, according to the Jerusalem Post.
According to Israeli media, some Iranian authorities were inside the underground complex when it was destroyed. The supreme leader of the Iranian regime was supposed to use the underground military bunker, which was situated beneath the regime’s leadership compound in the center of Tehran, as a secure emergency command center,” the army stated.
During operation ‘Roaring Lion,’ Hamenei was killed before he could use the bunker, but senior Iranian regime officials continued to use the compound.”According to the Jerusalem Post, the underground structure had multiple entrances and was one of the key command centers from which Khamenei and others frequently oversaw the nation during times of crisis.
