RIYADH: The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index for Saudi Arabia began the week at 11,314.64, down 28.53 points, or 0.25 percent. With 100 gains vs 159 losses, the index began the day under pressure at 11,299.58.
While the MT30 index dropped 0.31 percent to 1,525.52, the parallel market NomuC did better, climbing 128.68 points, or 0.57 percent, to close at 22,800.07. Methanol Chemicals Co. increased 7.37 percent to close at SR9.18, one of the session’s biggest gainers.
Saudi Industrial Export Co. rose 3.90 percent to SR2.40, Arabian Drilling Co. up 3.80 percent to SR84.65, Alujain Corp. gained 4.09 percent to SR27.98, and Saudi Industrial Investment Group increased 6.80 percent to SR14.44.
Fourth Milling Co. had a 3.85 percent fall to SR3.75. Sports Club Co. lost 2.97 percent to SR6.54, while Saleh Abdulaziz AlRashed & Sons Co. fell 3.23 percent to SR60.00. Al Majed Oud Co. lost 2.90 percent to settle at SR157.30, while Thob Al Aseel Co. down 2.95 percent to SR3.62. Al Moammar Information Systems Co. announced that it has received a purchase order worth SR114.5 million, inclusive of VAT, from the Ministry of Education.
