How KSrelief Is Combating Cholera in Yemen’s Ongoing Crisis

During the month of March, the Emergency Response Project for Cholera in Yemen, which was sponsored by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, offered medical assistance to a total of 5,909 individuals who were in need of assistance.

Reducing infection rates and preventing the further spread of cholera are the goals of the project, which focuses on severely afflicted areas. Among the measures taken are the deployment of medical teams at airports and border crossings, the provision of vital treatment supplies to health facilities, and the expansion of cholera treatment centers’ capacity, with one suspected case documented.

In other news, the center recently handed out 400 food baskets to displaced people, those in need, and people with impairments in Mali. This resulted in 2,400 people receiving assistance.

This falls within the scope of the relief and humanitarian projects that the Kingdom is providing to communities all around the world in order to assist those who are in need and afflicted populations. Over the course of the weekend, separatists in Mali launched their biggest significant offensive in almost 15 years, launching attacks on the junta and the Russian paramilitary forces that support it.
