In a statement released on Wednesday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) refuted claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had visited the country. Earlier on Wednesday, the office of the Israeli Prime Minister stated that Netanyahu had traveled to the United Arab Emirates in March, during the conflict with Iran.
The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement not only denying that the visit had taken place, but also stating that there had been no visits by any Israeli military delegation.
According to the statement released by the ministry, “Any claims regarding unannounced visits or undisclosed arrangements are completely unfounded with the exception of those that have been officially announced by the relevant authorities in the UAE.”
Additionally, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reaffirmed that its ties with Israel are public and handled within the context of the well-known and officially announced Abraham Accords. Furthermore, it stated that these relations are not based on any arrangements that are not transparent or official.
