UAE Launches National Cybersecurity Accelerator to Empower Startup Innovation

With the goal of assisting entrepreneurs in creating cutting-edge technologies, growing their companies, and enhancing the nation’s standing as a regional and international cybersecurity hub, the UAE has started a specialized national initiative to accelerate cybersecurity startups.

As part of a comprehensive acceleration program, the project, launched by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) in collaboration with the UAE Cyber Security Council, would provide businesses with access to investors, strategic partnerships, and mentorship.

The announcement was made at an event held at MZN Hub Al Ain, which was attended by Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, CEO of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government.

The program was introduced in accordance with the current Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the UAE Cyber Security Council and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, which created a framework for cooperation to promote innovation, support entrepreneurship, and bolster the nation’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

Through a structured acceleration journey, the initiative aims to draw in, nurture, and assist cybersecurity startups. This will help entrepreneurs develop creative, scalable solutions and improve their ability to capitalize on opportunities within the UAE’s national cybersecurity ecosystem.
