UAE Rain Forecast Until August 6: What Residents and Tourists Need to Know

Unsettled weather throughout parts of the Gulf is due to persist through this week. The UAE is forecasting rain while Saudi Arabia and Oman are warning of continuing thunderstorms in some areas. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said citizens in the UAE may expect further rain through August 6. The weather is being influenced by an extension of a surface low pressure system from the east, and a weak upper air low pressure system Rain chances: There’s a risk of rain in areas of the country between Aug. 2 and Aug. 6 as convective clouds are predicted to develop.

The forecast comes amid scorching summer temperatures, with the mercury hitting 50°C in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, at 2.30pm on August 1.The Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) meanwhile expected thunderstorms in sections of Asir, Jazan, Al Baha, the Makkah highlands and Najran till the end of the week.

The authority asked citizens to follow its latest predictions and weather bulletins through its website and the Anwaa app and official social media accounts “The clouds of Cumulonimbus will continue to develop over the Hajar range with scattered showers, thunderstorms and strong winds. The conditions are likely to extend to more areas in the coming period,” authorities added.
