RIYADH: The Misk Foundation, together with the UN Youth Office, announced the creation of the Global Youth Network, SPA reported on Tuesday. The statement was delivered at the 31st Youth Assembly in Geneva, coinciding with International Youth Day. Young global citizens from over 80 nations convened under the theme “Rise. Reimagine.” Rebuild: A World for All” is a campaign to advance measures toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The network will be officially launched in September 2026 at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. The Global Youth Network brings together independent youth-serving groups from various regions and provides well-designed paths for young people to participate in global policy formulation and decision-making. The network builds on Misk’s cooperation with the United Nations, which began in 2018.
Badr Al-Badr, CEO of the Misk Foundation, stated that the network will bring together youth and decision-makers to help create international policies and translate youth ideals into real tools and on-the-ground tactics to address global concerns.
