Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on the margins of the BRICS Summit 2026 in New Delhi on Sunday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and strategies to strengthen and expand them across a range of areas. They also talked about prospects for economic, trade, and tourism collaboration, as well as fostering business partnerships in both nations, as well as exchanging ideas on matters of common interest.
Prince Faisal also met with Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, on the margins of the BRICS Summit 2026. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, as well as ongoing coordination and alignment of viewpoints on a variety of issues.
They also reviewed recent regional developments, including the Houthi militia’s strikes on Saudi Arabian targets. The Bahraini minister condemned and strongly denounced the attacks, as well as Bahrain’s backing for Saudi Arabia and its response. The two sides also discussed coordinated efforts to de-escalate tensions, which will help to consolidate regional security, stability, and peace. Meanwhile, Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call on Sunday from the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the call, they reviewed recent regional events and continued efforts to contain the escalation amid rapidly changing circumstances in the region. They also emphasised the necessity of unifying viewpoints and strengthening talks between the two countries in order to support the framework of unified Gulf action, ensure their states’ security, and preserve their national assets.
