RIYADH: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts will begin its year-long commemoration of the “Year of Handicrafts” in 2025 on Saturday by launching the Wrth Community initiative. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the project will include a number of meetings, discussions with prominent experts in the field, and instructional seminars that will all take place at the institute’s headquarters in Riyadh.
Through the use of modern design and technology, it aims to rejuvenate and modernize traditional handicrafts, promote cooperation between local communities and organizations, and emphasize the critical role that traditional arts play in maintaining cultural identity.
According to the SPA, the program will also provide specific training to enable people to employ these skills in creative ways. It offers a venue for skill development, experience sharing, and the promotion of creativity and innovation. It covers a wide range of topics, including education, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship. It also includes dialogue sessions.
