AI-Powered Medicinal Capsules From Prophet's Mosque Improve Healthcare

RIYADH: According to a Monday Saudi Press Agency story, the Madinah Health Cluster has introduced two intelligent medical capsules in the Prophet’s Mosque’s northern central section to improve healthcare for pilgrims and tourists. The “Tabah and Tibabah” capsules analyze vital signs, perform electrocardiograms, perform quick diagnostics, and identify chronic diseases using cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence.

According to the SPA, they are connected to the Seha Virtual Hospital for professional assistance. The capsules supplement current healthcare facilities, such as the Al-Haram and Al-Salam Endowment hospitals, by expanding healthcare services. Over 576 individuals are served every day by the capsules, which are operated by qualified medical personnel during peak hours. They demonstrate how the public and private sectors work together.

In the meantime, it took 56 seconds for the Madinah teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to transport an emergency cardiac patient for treatment via their Cardiac Attacks channel. The Medical Transfer Center received a call through the 997 hotline regarding a patient in his 60s who was feeling excruciating chest discomfort at the Prophet’s Mosque, according to Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, director of the authority’s regional branch.

After performing an EKG, the advanced care team that was sent determined that the patient had suffered an acute heart attack. After being informed of this, the on-call doctor initiated the Cardiac Attack route routine.
