RIYADH: To exchange ideas and talk about the future of STEM, Saudi Arabian and international innovators in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics convened in Riyadh on Monday for the Eye on the Future Summit. UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences Lidia Arthur Brito declared, “Today’s gathering is a celebration of talent, creativity, and vision.
“It is our responsibility to make sure that the scientists, innovators, and changemakers of tomorrow have access to all the resources, chances, and motivation they require to tackle the intricate problems facing our planet,” she stated.
The Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the Ministry of Culture, the Abdullah Al-Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in STEM, the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation, and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, also known as Mawhiba, collaborated to host the event.
Let us continue working together to nurture a generation of scientists who will not only imagine the future but lead it,” Brito said, praising Mawhiba’s efforts to promote the upcoming generation of STEM innovators. Among the notable speakers at the “From the Stars to STEM” event was Prince Sultan bin Salman, King Salman’s special advisor, who delivered the keynote address on empowering Saudi youth.
