RIYADH: The Social Responsibility Association in Riyadh hosted the second Social Responsibility Forum to coordinate efforts across sectors to support sustainable development and Vision 2030.
The event, which took place on March 23 in honour of Saudi Social Responsibility Day, increased public awareness of the value of social responsibility in sustainable growth and community development.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, it sought to enhance the part that businesses play in promoting this culture and aiding in advancing society, the economy, and the environment. The association’s head, Saud Al-Subaie, emphasised the necessity of coordinated efforts from all sectors to strengthen social responsibility.
He promoted a giving culture while highlighting the complementary responsibilities played by the public, commercial, and nonprofit sectors in improving society and the economy. The association’s CEO, Abdullah Al-Muhanna, emphasised the organization’s dedication to fostering social responsibility and forming fruitful collaborations.
According to him, the event is a chance to strengthen institutional commitments to community service while fostering ideals of kindness and harmony. According to data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, by the end of 2023, 65 percent of large corporations had implemented social responsibility programs, up from 30 per cent in 2019. Two-panel talks on how the public, commercial, and nonprofit sectors may encourage social responsibility were part of the forum.
