RIYADH: The inaugural Saudi Food Manufacturing expo opened in Riyadh on Tuesday, attracting over 400 firms from 35 nations.
With an emphasis on processing, packaging, and ingredients, the event is supported by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, and aims to foster high-level commercial agreements, relationships, and collaborations.
Arab News was contacted by three businesses that were recognized at the occasion with Saudi Food Manufacturing Awards: Multivac, DC Norris, and Brenntag.
Multivac’s managing director, Amir Sotoudeh, reported that the German company’s TX series and smart services at Gulfood Manufacturing earned it the Best Processing Innovation Award.
Since 2009, the company has maintained a branch office in Riyadh, and the Kingdom represents its largest Middle Eastern market.
Saudi Arabia is a sizable market, particularly in light of recent reforms prioritizing domestic manufacturing and output. That’s why our cutting-edge technology and position as the industry leader in processing and packaging are crucial.
Process equipment provider DC Norris is situated in the UK and operates in 62 nations. It won the Best Processing Manufacturing Award and offers solutions for the food, dairy, and beverage manufacturing industries.
