JEDDAH: More than 2,000 trainees from around the world received intensive three-day Hajj training in Saudi Arabia, improving their skills in all facets of the journey. The Hajj Lab, part of the Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition 2025, concluded on January 16. It was organised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s Licensing and Training Centre for Workers in the Service Sector.
The initiative, which matched with Saudi Vision 2030, provided a forum for knowledge sharing, training, and collaboration to improve the services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season. Throughout the three days, the lab offered many workshops aimed at encouraging learning and development in various aspects of the Hajj ecosystem. The Hajj Lab, which featured more than 60 trainers and 45 workshop sessions, drew over 2,000 global trainees who were eager to improve their Hajj skills and expertise.
The training, geared to the Hajj’s special demands, addressed new technology, laws, and services in transportation, healthcare, security, and digital transformation. Abdul Bari Al-Salami, General Supervisor of the Licensing and Training Centre, praised the seminars’ comprehensive approach. Twenty workshops each day, divided into five sessions, were held across four halls, each capable of hosting around 40 trainees,” the official stated.
