RIYADH: Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed that the GCC states will continue to work hard to improve economic integration as part of their ongoing efforts to achieve Gulf economic unity and solidify the GCC states’ position as a leading global hub in economic and development fields.
This occurred during the 70th meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee, which was held by videoconference on April 30 and headed by Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and business, President of the current session, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, and attended by the GCC ministers of business.
Al-Budaiwi added that the meeting is taking place at a critical juncture following the clear Iranian attacks on the GCC states, which necessitate a shift from traditional coordination to a higher level of practical integration and effective response.
The Secretary-General of the GCC stated: “The escalating challenges witnessed by our area are no longer merely a passing circumstance, but rather constitute a real test of our ability to protect our achievements and ensure the continued operations of our vital sectors with efficiency and steadfastness.
