Madinah Opens an Iftar Provider Portal

RIYADH: To help iftar service providers at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah update their information for Ramadan, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has developed an online site. The authority states that in order to maintain service, it is necessary to update data, hire approved caterers, and adhere to iftar service regulations.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the list of authorised businesses will be made available following data changes in order to complete contracts and issue electronic permits. The authority also opened a website last month where people and nonprofits may apply for iftar food services inside Makkah’s Grand Mosque during Ramadan. One meal location per person and ten sites designated for charitable organisations are available for selection through the program.

The authorities emphasised the importance of offering low-calorie meals to people with diabetes and other chronic illnesses. Following data changes, the list of authorised businesses will be made available in order to complete contracts and issue electronic permits.
