RIYADH: The Middle East Sports Investment Forum wrapped up its second day at the Kingdom Arena by announcing a package of strategic partnerships and investments in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Sports, Sela Co., a Public Investment Fund subsidiary, and Invest in Saudi Arabia.
These programs highlight Saudi Arabia’s growing appeal to both domestic and foreign investors and demonstrate the industry’s explosive expansion. On the second day, a number of strategic alliances and agreements in a variety of industries were announced.
Among the most notable was the establishment of specialized industrial investments in the fabrication of components for sports stadium infrastructure. This will help to localize supply chains and enhance local content in the sports sector.
Partnerships in sports medicine were also revealed at the forum. These aim to deliver advanced medical expertise, develop healthcare services for athletes, and enhance the efficiency of the Kingdom’s healthcare system supporting the sports industry.
The announcements also included collaboration in the realm of temporary sports facilities and construction to help the Kingdom prepare to host big sporting events and competitions while also improving the resilience of the sector’s infrastructure.
