According to Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, RIYADH — Saudi Arabia is trying to broaden its foreign alliances. He said that Iran is moving towards de-escalation with Israel at a dialogue session at the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII8) conference in Riyadh on Thursday.
Prince Faisal underlined that Saudi Arabia has a comprehensive economic partnership with the United States of America and that their relations are the finest in history. He did point out that any deal including defence cooperation with the US might be more intricate. He underlined that Saudi Arabia is prepared to cope with any future American president. “Regarding the candidates running for the US presidency, Saudi Arabia has no preferences.
Prince Faisal disclosed that he had stressed to Abbas Araghchi, his Iranian counterpart, the need to prevent any escalation in the area. “Tehran told us that it has no interest in the regional escalation spiral continuing. “The goal of Saudi Arabia’s dialogue with Iran is to maintain positive relations,” he stated.
Saudi Arabia’s policy is dedicated to concentrating on development rather than getting sucked into regional conflicts, the foreign minister emphasised. “Saudi Arabia has the ability to deal with crises in the region and maintain stability,” he stated. Prince Faisal explained the Palestinian predicament, saying that his nation is trying to find a means to bring about a truce in Gaza. “What is happening in northern Gaza is a kind of genocide,” he stated.
