OSLO: On the fringes of the Oslo Forum 2025 in Norway, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with his Egyptian colleague, Badr Abdelatty, on Wednesday. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two ministers talked about important regional events and Saudi-Egyptian ties, emphasising the deteriorating conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The discussion took place as the Gaza Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that the dead toll from the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict had risen to above 55,000. More than half of the deaths were women and children, according to the ministry, which does not distinguish between fighters and civilians.
Abdelatty and Prince Faisal went over the measures being taken to help humanitarian relief and defuse the situation.In Oslo on Wednesday, the Kingdom’s foreign minister also had a meeting with Abbas Araghchi, his Iranian counterpart. The two officials discussed regional and global events while reviewing their nations’ relations.
