The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is Invited by Canada to the G7 Conference

The Canadian daily Global News reports that Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has received a formal invitation from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to attend the G7 conference.

Beginning on Sunday, June 15, leaders from the world’s biggest economies will meet for three days in Kananaskis, Alberta. According to the publication, the Kingdom’s position as a major actor in Middle East diplomacy is the reason for the invitation.

The Kingdom has backed attempts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, where Israel is still waging a military campaign against Hamas that has left the Palestinian enclave in a state of humanitarian catastrophe.

Bloomberg has verified Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s invitation to Canada. It emphasises how hard it is to overlook the Kingdom’s strategic significance given its involvement in two of the world’s most significant wars—Gaza and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Furthermore, the stability of global energy prices is still and will continue to be firmly based on Saudi oil output.

The Kingdom is now a desirable location for investment in key industries, like as technology and tourism, according to the Vision 2030 plan. According to Bloomberg, Canada wants a piece of these chances.
