When I bring up Bitcoin, one of the most frequent responses I get is some variation of: “I’m intrigued—I simply don’t know where to begin.” Natasha Hatherall-Shawe was the one who ultimately agreed to begin. She is a well-known resident of Dubai, the founder and CEO of TishTash Marketing Agency, an experienced investor, and someone I have worked with for over ten years. One afternoon, while we were messaging, the topic of cryptocurrency came up. She asked some questions, and I did my best to respond. Then I stated what I eventually say to everyone:
“Why don’t you just get some?” The majority of people pause, say they’ll give it some thought, and then don’t. However, during our conversation, Natasha quickly downloaded a platform I recommended, registered, and purchased her first stack of sats, which are short for satoshis, the smallest units of Bitcoin. In the same way that a wise person might begin a new workout regimen, she didn’t overthink it, put it off, develop a grandiose plan, or go too far; instead, she just made one tiny step—and that’s the basis of any activity.
