Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Backs 485 Companies in First Half of 2026

Saeed Al Gergawi, vice president of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy helped 485 digital startups in the first half of 2026, 51 per cent of them international enterprises. The number of businesses funded climbed 57.5 per cent year-on-year with 23 per cent of them artificial intelligence companies.

Al Gergawi said at a panel session at the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen, China, that Dubai was encouraging Chinese technology companies to utilise the emirate as a platform to develop into regional and international markets. The Chamber supports digital enterprises at every stage of growth, from setting up in Dubai to engaging with investors, customers and prospective strategic partners.

The vice president said access to customers, funding, and distribution networks is as critical to a startup’s success as its technology, adding that a major customer or strategic investor can shift a company’s growth trajectory. Dubai Chambers’ Business in Dubai platform connects businesses looking to start or expand in the emirate with relevant services and business partners.

The chamber has also collaborated with Canva to provide qualifying small and medium-sized businesses with a free one-year Canva Business subscription to access AI-driven design and visual communication tools.
