RIYADH: At Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the Riyadh Season zones, the Global Harmony initiative’s Ugandan cultural events came to an end on Wednesday. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two-day activities, which were organized by the Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, drew guests of all nationalities.
Through musical performances, traditional performances, and entertainment programs with Ugandan artists and influencers, attendees learned about Ugandan culture and the arts. Ugandan folk groups showcased the nation’s legacy by performing traditional songs and chants from different parts of the country.
According to the SPA, participating pavilions showcased regional food, handicrafts, and traditional attire that reflected Uganda’s cultural variety. Residents of Uganda expressed delight in seeing their culture showcased and introduced to the world in Riyadh, thus solidifying the capital’s standing as an expanding center of global culture.
They noted that the occasions provided an opportunity to strengthen their heritage’s presence across diverse populations and promote it. The Global Harmony initiative this year honored fourteen international cultures, each of which stands for a distinct Kingdom community.
