KSrelief Delivers 14 Ambulances to Support Healthcare in Iraqi Kurdistan

RIYADH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center have reached an agreement for the delivery of 14 ambulances to the Ministry of Kurdistan Region in Iraq.  An estimated 3.35 million individuals in the area will benefit from the medical trucks.

The $4 million deal was signed in Riyadh by Ambassador Mohamed Bamba Mohamed Boba, director general of the OIC regional mission in Somalia, and Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, assistant supervisor general for operations and programs at the center.

According to Boba, the collaboration reflects the close strategic relationships that exist between the OIC and KSrelief in a number of different regions. He praised Saudi Arabia’s enormous humanitarian outreach through KSrelief, which has helped disadvantaged populations around the world, and conveyed the organization’s gratitude for the center’s support.

The aid demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to providing health infrastructure in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and supports the Kingdom’s larger humanitarian goal to aid underprivileged countries and communities worldwide. According to Boba, the collaboration reflects the close strategic relationships that exist between the OIC and KSrelief in a number of different regions.
