Pentagon Confirms $8.6 Billion Deal for Boeing F-15 Aircraft for Israel

WASHINGTON: Following US President Donald Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida, the Pentagon said on Monday that Boeing had been awarded a $8.6 billion contract for the F-15 Israel Program.

The Pentagon stated, “This contract provides for the design, integration, instrumentation, test, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force with an option for an additional 25 F-15IA aircraft. The contract includes foreign military sales to Israel, according to the Pentagon. For a considerable amount of time, the United States has been the biggest provider of weapons to its closest partner in the Middle East.

Due to Israel’s disastrous attack on Gaza, pro-Palestinian and anti-war demonstrators across the United States had called for an end to Washington’s military assistance for Israel; however, neither President Donald Trump nor former President Joe Biden have fulfilled these requests.

Contract work will be completed in St. Louis, and was slated to be complete by Dec. 31, 2035, the Pentagon said in ‌a statement. According to a statement from the Pentagon, contract work will be completed in St. Louis by December 31, 2035.
