Saudi Logistics Giants Shine: Bahri's Profit Jumps 421%, SAL Posts Robust Growth

RIYADH: Due to increased cargo demand, SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co. recorded double-digit growth in the first half of 2026, while Bahri, Saudi Arabia’s National Shipping Co., reported a more than fivefold increase in earnings.

According to a filing on the Saudi Exchange, Bahri reported a net profit of SR4.89 billion ($1.30 billion) for the six months ending June 30, up 420.7 percent from the same period last year. Stronger global freight rates and more operating activity were the main drivers of the company’s outstanding performance, which it ascribed to better revenue across all of its business areas.

The statement claims that Bahri Oil BU had an increase in sales of SR6 billion, followed by Bahri Chemicals BU with SR233 million, Bahri Integrated Logistics BU with SR179 million, and Bahri Dry Bulk BU with SR98 million.

The findings coincide with Saudi Arabia’s accelerated ambitions to establish itself as a worldwide maritime and logistics hub under Vision 2030. According to Makreo Research, the freight market in the Kingdom, which grew at a compound annual growth rate of roughly 13.2 percent through 2025, is predicted to rise at an 18 percent CAGR through 2030.
