According to An AP-NORC poll, People are Fed up with Trump and Want Washington Changed

WASHINGTON (AP)  A huge majority of people believe President Donald Trump is doing too little at home and overseas, and they want dramatic change in the upcoming midterm elections, a new AP-NORC survey shows, sounding significant alarm bells for the Republican Party at a vital juncture.

A study taken less than four weeks before Election Day from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows Democrats are more enthused than Republican voters about casting a ballot. More voters want Democrats to win control of Congress and view Republicans more negatively.

In some situations the Democratic edge is slight, but the data collectively create a difficult picture for Republicans who are clinging to control of Congress under the weight of an unpopular war with Iran, and increasing costs at home.

Close to 8 in 10 voters think the economy or the cost of living is among the top issues for the forthcoming election, and roughly two-thirds say the same about health care and the conflict in Iran. Other topics that favour Trump more, such as immigration or crime, rank lower.

The world is going backwards. “We can hardly afford anything,” said Diana Walker, a 65-year-old Democratic voter from Decatur, Ga. Everyone’s gone. I am indifferent as to whether you are a Democrat or Republican; we are all experiencing hardship.
