RIYADH: Sanad Hourani was motivated to give back to his Saudi Nonprofit Organizes community by his early exposure to charitable ideals.
Hourani and his buddy Yousef Amjad founded a non-profit organization called Subha in Jeddah with the goal of uniting the city’s youth through philanthropic endeavors.
Hourani recently told Arab News, “I saw the necessity for it. Even though Saudi Arabia is a wonderful nation with many resources and blessings, some regions still want assistance, and many individuals are eager to contribute.
This year, they established a one-year cooperation with AlOula, the first non-profit organization in the Kingdom that has spent more than 60 years fostering community development.
“The Subha community and individual volunteers help us distribute the iftar meals to the beneficiaries across the city, which set an example of giving during this holy month,” said Dania Al-Maeena, CEO of AlOula, in an interview with Arab News.
A project comprising friends and family, Subha is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in Jeddah. It was founded three years ago. In 2021, Amjad and Hourani got together while planning separate Iftar Saem events. Together, they decided to form the Subha community to strengthen each other’s areas of strength and weakness.
