Minister Al-Khateeb: Saudi Arabia will Develop into a Major hub for International Aviation

RIYADH According to Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia will develop into a major international aviation hub. Speaking on Monday at the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, he declared, “The tourism and aviation sectors in the country are currently more powerful than ever before, and the Kingdom is leading the post-pandemic recovery rate in terms of the number of international tourists in the Middle East during the past year by recording a robust growth of 122 percent.”

According to the minister, Saudi Arabia is working hard to boost regional travel by collaborating with its Gulf neighbours. A primary measure in this context is the single visa for Gulf nations. By drawing more pilgrims, religious tourism demonstrates the Kingdom’s priority.

The three-day forum, which is being held under the theme “Enhancing the level of global connectivity,” will feature a full schedule of events. Experts in the aviation sector will review investment opportunities in the $100 billion aviation sector in the Kingdom and debate solutions to address the top challenges facing the industry globally. Additionally, the forum aims to offer previously unheard-of opportunities in the Kingdom’s aviation sector.
