Saudi Arabia Uses Technology to Give Pilgrims an Efficient Hajj Experience

To expedite Hajj pilgrims’ admission process, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence has implemented cutting-edge data and AI technologies.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the SDAIA has installed the required technical infrastructure at 14 entrance points throughout the Kingdom this year, including seaports, airports, and land borders. This will facilitate entry procedures.

Furthermore, the organization is supporting the Makkah Route Initiative and working with several governments to carry out the project in seven other nations.

During the Hajj season, SDAIA focuses on offering data-driven capabilities and predictive analytics that are improved by ongoing AI research.

Utilizing these technology has helped government organizations conducting the Hajj. To protect communication lines and guarantee continuous operation in the areas of Makkah, Madinah, the Eastern Province, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, and Najran, the organization has sent out a national technical team.

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Jeddah Islamic Port, Taif Airport, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, the Empty Quarter, Al-Batha, Salwa, Ar Ruqi, King Fahd Causeway, Halat Ammar, Neom Port in the Tabuk region, Jadidah Arar in the Northern Borders region, Al-Haditha in the Al-Jouf region, and Al-Wadiah in the Najran region are just a few of the entry points where the SDAIA team works.
