"A Fantastic Day for Relations Between Saudi Arabia and Germany" A Delegation from Saudia Visits Airbus in Hamburg to Commemorate a Historic Agreement

In order to personally witness the development of the biggest aircraft transaction in the history of the Kingdom’s aviation industry, a delegation from Saudia airline paid a special visit to Airbus’s Hamburg facility.

The acquisition of 105 cutting-edge A320neo and A321neo aircraft, which will be divided between Saudia and its low-cost carrier, flyadeal, is part of this historic arrangement, which was signed in May.

The agreement is the most recent in a long-standing partnership between Saudia and Airbus, which dates back to the early 1980s when Saudia was chosen as the aircraft’s launch customer for the A300-600, which was delivered in March 1984 to coincide with the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

With a value of $19 billion, the most recent aircraft purchase is in line with the goals of Saudia Group’s Vision 2030, which aims to serve 30 million pilgrims, accommodate 150 million visits, and carry 330 million people.

“This is a great day for German-Saudi economic relations,” German Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Michael Kindsgrab declared during his speech at the occasion. Since this is the largest aircraft contract that Airbus, Saudia Airlines, and Saudi Arabia have ever signed, it bodes well for more environmentally friendly, consistently safe, and opulent travel in the future.
