RIYADH: The Swiss Embassy held the inaugural Saudi-Swiss Fintech Forum in Riyadh in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Investment and Fintech Saudi.
Experts from Saudi Arabia and Switzerland participated in the Nov. 25–26 event, which had as its theme “Connecting Leaders across Borders.”
The forum gave people a place to share views and reevaluate conventional financial theories. Saudi Arabia has the biggest financial services sector in the Middle East, while Switzerland is a well-known financial center.
According to Nezar Al-Haidar, CEO of Fintech Saudi, the partnership between Fintech Saudi and its Swiss counterparts opens up new markets and provides chances for knowledge exchange. The leaders’ goal is to establish Saudi Arabia as a global center for fintech, and this partnership strengthens the connections between our ecosystems, he continued.
At the forum, Arab News spoke with Swiss and Saudi specialists about market prospects, finance, and the value of Swiss knowledge in Saudi Arabia’s fintech industry.
We see Swiss cooperation favorably,” stated Yazeed Al-Shamsi, co-founder and CEO of Ejari. Over the past three or four years, the Saudi Arabian fintech industry has gotten the greatest capital. Growth is still possible.
