For Regional Stability, Saudi FM Emphasizes GCC-Central Asian Collaboration. Earlier

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stressed on Monday the significance of advancing the goals of the states of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in order to make both regions safe, stable, and affluent and to give everyone hope for a brighter future.

Prince Faisal spoke at the second ministerial meeting of the GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Noting the significant improvement in relationships over the past few years, he emphasized in his speech the significance of keeping up the coordination and consultation between the GCC and the states of Central Asia based on shared values, interests, and historical links.

In line with the Arab Peace Initiative and the rules of international law, he underlined the significance of uniting efforts to defend the rights of the Palestinian people as recognized by the international community and to bring about peace via negotiation.

The Saudi minister also emphasized the necessity of pursuing a long-term truce, removing the embargo of the Gaza Strip, and guaranteeing the provision of humanitarian aid and relief supplies in addition to the ongoing efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region. He demanded an end to the Palestinian people’s forced relocation. He underlined the necessity for the UN Security Council and the international community to put an end to Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people.
