JEDDAH: After three days of deliberations, the Third International Conference on Legal and Sharia Studies, with the topic “Laws and Modern Trends,” came to a close yesterday in Jeddah. It brought together a renowned collection of scholars, researchers, and legal specialists from both inside and outside the Kingdom.
Twelve research posters and twenty-four research papers were presented at the conference, which included in-depth scientific discussions on important current legal and Sharia topics. The workshops centered on new advancements in technology, law, and jurisprudence that promote the integration of Islamic Sharia with contemporary legal systems.
The conference’s final recommendations placed a strong emphasis on the necessity of bringing Arab and Islamic law into line with regional and global developments, encouraging applied research that provides answers to legal and jurisprudential problems, creating training programs for judges, attorneys, and legal professionals, investing in the development of young research talent, and fostering knowledge exchange.
At the end of the conference, attendees commended the Ethraa Almaerifa center for hosting the event and offering a prestigious academic forum for exchanging experience and addressing current legal and Sharia concerns. They also praised the program’s high scientific and organizational standards.
