Saudi Arabia Launches a Factory Development Consultant License to Promote Industry

In an effort to strengthen the industrial sector, Saudi Arabia has launched a new plant development consultant licensing service.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources initiated the project, which aims to improve industrial facilities, increase production efficiency, improve operations, and make use of national specialists’ experience in the industry.

According to the government, creating and executing company strategies as well as cutting material costs are among the duties of the development consultancy license.

The development of manufacturing facilities and their operations includes this addition to the licenses for industrial consultancy.

Organizing procedures, raising quality standards, assessing performance to increase effectiveness and competitiveness, and interacting with board members and investors are all part of the job description.

Saudi nationals with at least a bachelor’s degree from a nearby institution or college are required to apply for the license, according to the Ministry of Industry.

As an alternative, candidates may be eligible with a comparable degree from a non-Kingdom university that has gained international recognition.

Along with strengthening academic and scientific cooperation, the ministry also started talks with King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals after Muhammad Al-Saggaf, president of KFUPM, and deputy minister for mining affairs Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer met with him on September 1.
