RIYADH: On Monday, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh, the Speaker of the Saudi Arabian Shoura Council, landed in Jordan for a formal visit.
Al-Asheikh is in charge of a council delegation that Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Ahmed Safadi formally invited.
His hosts at Queen Alia International Airport in the capital city of Amman included Safadi, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Jordan, and many high-ranking members of the Jordanian House of Representatives.
Al-Asheikh praised the advancements and mutual cooperation in several areas between Saudi Arabia and Jordan in a statement. He underlined that the leaderships of both nations are eager to develop and solidify bilateral ties to fulfill the ambitions of their fraternal peoples.
He applauded the Shoura Council for using parliamentary diplomacy to advance relations between Saudi Arabia and other nations. The council uses this strategy to highlight the Kingdom’s positions on various issues and events and build bridges that consolidate relations.
Al-Asheikh and Safadi will speak during the visit, aiming to boost parliamentary cooperation, coordinate shared viewpoints and positions in regional and global forums and platforms, and bolstering communication and cooperation mechanisms.
