As part of its aggressive global expansion plan, BCI has announced the opening of its new unit in the Second Industrial City of Riyadh. With this facility, the leading regional manufacturer of polyester polyols, specialty adhesives, and polyurethane systems reaffirms its dedication to industrial development and sustainability in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
On December 10, 2024, BCI hosted a Gala dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh to mark the occasion. Deputy Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil Ibrahim bin Salamah, as well as important BCI clients, CEOs from top chemical industry companies, and other public and private sector leaders, attended the event.
The new BCI plant is 10,000 square meters in size, and there are plans to expand it soon. The facility is the first of its kind in the region and in Saudi Arabia, with completely automated operations. The second phase of the project is expected to boost the original production capacity of 40,000 tons per year to 60,000 tons by the following year. The company specializes in manufacturing materials for a range of industries, including insulation, HVAC systems, automotive, pipe, and home appliances. Its use of non-toxic materials and cutting-edge technologies that can save energy use by up to 60% demonstrate its dedication to sustainability. Additionally, BCI is at the forefront of innovation by turning tires into binding agents and recycling PET products into raw materials for insulation.
