The Future of Retail in Saudi Arabia Will be Discussed at the RLC Global Forum

RIYADH: The Retail Leaders Circle Global Forum 2025 in Saudi Arabia will bring together more than 600 organisations and more than 100 speakers to talk about cooperation in the face of economic reforms and digital innovation. The two-day gathering, which will take place from February 4-5 at the Fairmont Hotel in Riyadh, will bring together investors, legislators, and business leaders to discuss how to deal with the quickly evolving retail sector.

The event, with the theme “Rebuilding a Shared Future,” intends to discuss how the industry can regain collaboration and trust while adjusting to new regulatory frameworks, changing consumer habits, and digital transformation.

This year’s summit takes place as Saudi Arabia’s retail industry, in spite of continuous global economic uncertainty, continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience and steady development, with total sales exceeding SR37.4 billion ($9.97 billion) in the third quarter of 2024.

Data site Statista projects that retail sales in the Kingdom will reach $161.4 billion by 2028, and that e-commerce will surpass $13.2 billion by 2025. Panos Linardos, the chairman of the RLC Global Forum, told Arab News that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is “really shaking up the retail sector, and we’re seeing exciting changes across the board.”
