The Success Story Behind Saudi Arabia's Internationally Recognized Autism Virtual Clinic

JEDDAH: Less than a year after its debut, Saudi Arabia’s Autism Virtual Clinic was recognized internationally at the World Summit on the Information Society 2026 in Geneva. The clinic, a project of the Autism Families Association, received recognition after being chosen as one of the finalists in the summit’s e-health category, which honors digital health initiatives that use technology to demonstrate social benefit.

The Autism Virtual Clinic was established in October 2025 and uses a digital platform to provide access to specialized care for people with autism spectrum disorder and their families. It offers remote healthcare and consultation services.

Over 200 families have benefited from the clinic since it opened, and over 1,000 treatment and consulting sessions have been provided. Beneficiaries in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations have benefited from its services, which allow families to obtain specialist assistance without having to travel.

The clinic supports the provision of specialist healthcare services remotely and has a license from the Saudi Ministry of Health, accreditation from the Council of Health Insurance, integration with the Nafis platform, and registration with SEHA Virtual Hospital.
