The “Third International Conference on the History of King Abdulaziz” will take place in the Conference Hall on the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) campus in Riyadh on January 28–29, 2025. The conference is being sponsored by King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and is titled “The Economy in the Reign of King Abdulaziz: Empowerment, Development, and Sustainability.”
Appreciating the royal support of the conference, which will explore King Abdulaziz’s economic ideas and analyse the economic systems and policies of his reign, is IMSIU President Prof. Ahmed Al-Ameri. The conference will highlight the contribution of the Saudi economy, led by King Abdulaziz, to the realisation of sustainable development. It will also examine the principles and elements that guaranteed the Saudi economy’s success.
According to Al-Ameri, the third edition will involve workshops, discussion panels, and an esteemed collection of professors and researchers from around the globe. It will cover aspects such as the origins of the Saudi economy, handling financial crises, contemporary methods for studying history, development, and economics, and the establishment of governmental and private economic institutions.
