Why Trust, Not just AI, is Important for Hiring in The Future

AI can match skills. But can you believe it? Hiring is going faster all over the world, but not always smarter. Recruiting sites that use AI can now quickly look over thousands of profiles. Interviews are done by computers. The pool of talent is global. The method seems to work well at first glance. But that speed hides a bigger problem: trust.

Several studies around the world show that a lot of resumes have false or misleading information on them. At the same time, companies are getting more worried about how to check credentials when hiring people from other countries. As algorithms are used more and more in hiring, the quality of the data that is put in is more important than ever. AI can match skills. But it can’t check on its own to see if that ability is real. This is the fundamental gap we’re going into.

The old CV was made for a world where things were written on paper. This is a candidate’s own statement that won’t change unless the candidate decides to. It doesn’t say much about whether the mentioned skills, achievements, or credentials were verified. However, AI systems that hire people treat that document as structured fact. This means that no matter how complicated the algorithm is, the output will also not be reliable if the basis is not.
