China and Saudi Arabia sign an MOU to strengthen their Healthcare Collaboration

During his official visit to the People’s Republic of China, Saudi Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel met with Chinese National Health Commission (NHC) Minister Lei Haichao on Thursday.

The two ministers talked about ways to work together in the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on tackling health issues and using their combined knowledge to raise the standard of healthcare in Saudi Arabia.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve collaboration in a number of health-related fields was signed by the two parties at the end of the conference. The solid collaboration established during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the areas of epidemic prevention, preparedness, and control, is strengthened by this agreement.

In addition to creating strategic healthcare collaborations to further health transformation objectives in both countries, the MoU assists international organizations and multilateral frameworks in tackling global health concerns.

Al-Jalajel thanked the Chinese minister for the invitation and highlighted the noteworthy advancements in healthcare, technology, R&D, and innovation that both nations have achieved.
