Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a telephone call from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday in a conversation that highlighted the strong and longstanding ties between Riyadh and Islamabad.
According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office in Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings and respectful regards to both the Crown Prince and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressing appreciation for the Kingdom’s consistent support.
The two leaders took the opportunity to review the bilateral relationship and explore ways to enhance joint cooperation across various areas of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on major regional and international developments including ongoing diplomatic and security challenges.
During the call, Prime Minister Sharif emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for sustaining peace and stability in the region and stressed the need for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the prime minister for the warm conversation and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s desire to expand collaboration with Pakistan.
