GAZA: Local and medical sources say that an old Palestinian man was shot and died by Israeli fire in Rafah on Sunday afternoon. This brings the total number of deaths since morning to two. According to the sources, an Israeli drone killed Khaled Hammad Dahleez, 63, in the northwest of Rafah.
The Palestinian News Agency said that earlier in the day, a drone attack north of Wadi Gaza in the central Gaza Strip killed another man and hurt several others. In a series of Israeli bombings on Saturday, at least 31 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed. This was one of the worst days since the ceasefire deal began on October 11, 2025.
The number of individuals killed since the ceasefire went into force on October 11 has grown to 523, while 1,433 people have been injured. At the same time, 715 bodies have been found. Medical sources revealed on Sunday that since the commencement of Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, 71,795 Palestinians have died and 171,551 have been wounded.
The sources said that 26 people died and 68 were hurt in Gaza hospitals in the last 48 hours. Many of the casualties were stuck beneath rubble or in the streets, and ambulance and rescue teams couldn’t get to them.
The first component of the ceasefire called for all hostages held in Gaza to be freed in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians held by Israel. It also called for more humanitarian aid and a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops.
