LONDON: Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Hashimi stated on Wednesday during a briefing and iftar event at the Civil Defense Department that the country’s authorities prioritize the safety of its citizens amid regional concerns.
According to the royal court, he emphasized the significance of staying up to date with the most recent advancements in civic protection technologies and seizing every chance to improve the abilities of civic Defense personnel.
Operating under the Ministry of Interior, the department has been managing crises and safeguarding people and property in the face of Tehran’s recent missile and drone onslaught in retaliation for US and Israeli attacks on Iran. Both military and civilian targets in Jordan and other nations in the region have been struck.
Brig. Gen. Nasser Sweilmeen, the director of Civil Defense, and Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah, the director of the Public Security Directorate, welcomed the crown prince and gave him an update on the department’s operations, systems, and strategies for handling the regional conflict.
